We welcomed Passion Trading on Wednesday evening to our Pavilion for the launching of their new product range “Authentic” by Davines. When I met the owner of Passion, I took one look at her and it suddenly all came together for me. Chin Teo was an old dancer friend of mine, back in the day of Greenapple Ballet Academy. And having bumped into her along the way throughout the ensuing years, I always did remember that she was involved in her family business trading in skin and hair products.

So it was an absolute pleasure to welcome her and her family and all the very trendy hairstylists throughout the country to this product launch.

And they surely did do their research well as Davines Authentic Fomulas for face, hair and body’s is all about providing nourishing products with an extremely high natural origin ingredient ratio. This range prides itself in being free from added parabens, artificial colouring and SLE’s.

When they visited Tropical Spice Garden for a site inspection – they knew straight away that our beautiful location set amidst a lush jungle garden was going to make the right impact for all the visiting therapists and stylists. We haven’t seen so many spunky and funky young adults making their way to the gardens in a while. With layered undercuts and dyed mullets, this certainly was a sight for creative eyes!

The launch of the range as complete with a senior trainer, Mr Brixton Jeou from Singapore. He gave a demonstration on the correct techniques of a head massage and a run down on all the wonderful attributes of Autentic.

We were then treated to a dance solo performed by none other than Chin Teo accompanied by a violin player, Chia Chia.

The press loved this new location in Penang for a product launch and I think many eyes were opened to the different use of the garden space. It certainly caught the eye of a districutor who deal with other skin care brands. Sustainable, organic skin and hair care are this years buzz words right?
